چکیده
Flotation wastewater treatment is widely used in various systems. The choice of aeration system plays a considerable role the development highly efficient flotation tanks. objective this work to point out factors that influence flotator type, and offer recommendations based on literature review data analysis. In paper, types systems tanks are considered: mechanical, pneumatic, pneumohydraulic ejection as well dissolved air electroflotation Their main advantages disadvantages pointed out. specific features tank constructions considered. such parameters (pH, conductivity, temperature), requirements for quality treated water, reliability simplicity maintenance, capital operating costs defined. peculiarities applications different conditions revealed. A comparison energy consumption considered presented. conclusion, practical depending offered.

Intermittent Aeration in Biological Treatment of Wastewater
Problem statement: E-coating process is widely used to provide a protective coating layer on metal parts in the automotive and metal finishing industry. The wastewater from the coating process contains organic compounds that are used in the cleaning, pretreatment and coating steps. Organic pollutants can be removed biologically. In the aerobic biological treatment, water aeration accounts for a...
متن کاملA dispersed-ozone flotation (DOF) separator for tertiary wastewater treatment.
A dispersed-ozone flotation (DOF) separator was devised for a pilot study of tertiary wastewater treatment for re-use purposes. As a compact device combining coagulation, ozonation and flotation in an integrated unit, the DOF separator achieved a very high removal of SS, TOC, UV254 and colour, as well as effective inactivation of coliform and total bacteria within a short hydraulic retention ti...
متن کاملNew Developments in Mixing, Flocculation and Flotation for Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment and Municipal Wastewater Treatment
Solid/liquid separations are commonly the first step in any wastewater treatment. Such technologies are mature and new developments are rare. However, in the last decade some significant improvements in separation techniques for industrial wastewater pretreatment have been implemented. Advances in the technology include more efficient, faster centrifugal mixing of treatment chemicals and wastew...
متن کاملWastewater Treatment in Moving-Bed Biofilm Reactor operated by Flow Reversal Intermittent Aeration System
Intermittent aeration process can be easily applied on the existing activated sludge system and is highly reliable against the loading changes. It can be operated in a relatively simple way as well. Since the moving-bed biofilm reactor method processes pollutants by attaching and securing the microorganisms on the media, the process efficiency can be higher compared to the suspended growth biol...
